Just Hanging Around (Awww Monday), Inspirational Quote of the Week, and Moon, But No June (Poetry Monday)

Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Some of the kittens waiting for their forever homes can be little acrobats.  This group loves to try to catch the dangling toys when we wave them above their cages.  They like to hang around, and sometimes even hang totally upside down from the top of the cage, but never when the camera is on, of course.

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Delores and her friend Jenny are taking turns providing a theme for Poetry Monday, and i am trying my hand at participating.  This weeks theme is The Moon.

Since the moon
Rhymes with June
Tell me why
People went there in July!

Yes we know
They had to go
When it was time
Even with no rhyme.

  1. Smiling at your poem, and also at the acrobatic kittens. Wouldn't it be nice to be that agile?

  2. Echoing EC, I'd love to be that agile again. I love watching kitties chase toys.

  3. I enjoy watching kittens at play. Poetry very nice.

  4. Haha! they are so funny to watch aren't they they could form an acrobatic group heheh! :-)

    I liked the quote too

    Have an artistictastic day :-)

  5. Perhaps one sacrifices cheese to the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
(If, of course, one is a pastafarian...)

  6. Those cats are funny. We love that quote. People these days have no imagination. If you don't believe that, why are all the new movies and TV shows remakes of old ones. The creative mind is disappearing which is sad. We love to create, but you have to work on that to build the talent.

  7. You know how it is with space travel, you just can't change those darn dates as easily as you can others. But, that's okay it gave you a great poem so who cares? Those kitties look like they are trying to make a great escape. Now, if only they could figure out how to get the cage open then they'd be set. Happy Monday!

  8. A very interesting statement Mimi. I'm going to have that to ponder that one a little longer. LOL See ya.

    Cruisin Paul

  9. Awww on the kittens. They are most adorable. I hope they find a forever home and soon.

Love your Spark and your poem.

  11. best wizhez N fishez two ewe wee onez & heerz hopin ewe haza for everz bye de end oh de month....N thatz like ina few dayz :) ♥♥♥☺☺☺

  12. Kittens are so sweet; I hope they find a forever home soon.

Great question you ask in your poem! lol

  13. Kittens are soooooo cute!

I like the quote you shared. I always remember this quote from Alice in Wonderland:

"There's no use trying," she said: "one can't believe impossible things."
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Hope you are having a fantastic Monday Mimi!

  14. Such cuties. I am sure people will snap them right up. Great quote and poem too.

  15. Sweet kitties playing ~ love the photos and great spark too!
