Random and Happy and Rare, Too!

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Today is a rare day -- i have a day off!  My next one is probably going to be next year, so i'm planning to enjoy this.

After yesterday, i need it.  Ms. JAI had me hopping a bit more than usual, which squeezed me on time so we almost didn't get our oil change done on Lunceford the Land Yacht.

Heaven forbid that i miss out on Kevin and Lenny and the joking that goes on.  Their latest trick is to whisper everything and each accuse the other of being deaf.  It makes for some crazy moments.

Dr. D is heavily leaning on taxes.  We spent much fruitless time searching for the Goodwill receipts from 2017.  Yes, she filed 2017 already, but there are questions, so these receipts might need to be found.  They will probably turn up after she goes to the CPA and finds out they aren't needed.  Oh, well, it's a living.

Okay, on to some funnies:

  1. I don't mind whether the glass is half full or half empty as long as it does not leave a wet ring on the table.

I think all glasses, champagne, wine, whisky or whatever, should come with a coaster stuck in the bottom. We should all have coasters stuck in the bottom! That is the bottom of the glass; not our own bottoms. Not unless we go around sitting naked on tables then we will need coasters stuck to our bottoms.

Anyway, where was I before you confused me? Oh yes ... in order to avoid wet rings on tables I have super-glued coasters on all our glasses. Now we have wet squares on the tables. Might as well have stuck the coasters to our bottoms I suppose.

    God bless.

  4. Good we posted about rats today, since we now know it is fancy rat day! LOL! Enjoy your day off. Mom really needs a week or two off, but with her own business, that is not going to happen. She is getting burned out.

  8. Birthday of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1815. Pioneer of Women's Rights. Would have made a great president.

I keep looking at Blog Hop. Pressed all the clinks and too dumb to understand it. And it's too early for a little glass of wine to help comprehend it. :(

(Previewed my post and found I wrote CLINKS instead of LINKS. Must have been clinking my half glass of wine.)

"Here's to you and a wonderful day off!"

  12. Mimi,

I hope you're enjoying your day off. It's a cold one here. This morning we got a bit of snow, not much, maybe an inch. The first for the season. It's the cold that I can do without. We're expected to get into the mid-teens tonight. That's pretty awful sounding. Brrr! Great funnies. Thanks for making me smile. Have a good afternoon. ;)

  13. Happened to be drinking an A&W soda, (canned) while reading your blog! Love the floats at the shop, though... Hope you enjoy the day off. Could you conveniently lose your phone for a few hours, so you don't have panicked calls about a misplace doohickey? ;) Anyway, enjoy!

  17. I have totally done that with paperwork. Searched and searched and gathered and organized only to find out I didn't need any of it! Oh well. If I had I'd of been prepared! - All that talk of alcohol leaves me needing a small cocktail now. :) - I hope you had a great day off.
