Just for Laughs (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Nightfall Haiku (Sammy’s Poetry Day), and Handy Help (Brian’s Thankful Thursday)

***********************************

“Hey, baby, going my way?”

Standing at the end of the driveway with his thumb out, my Sweetie pretended to pull up his pants and show off his “gams”, all the while grinning with a glint in his eye.

He’d been outdoors on the porch swing watching for me to get home, and stepped off the porch and came down the drive, and what else could i do but stop, roll my window down, and say, “Sure enough, honey, hop on in!”

Playing along, he raced around and jumped in the passenger seat for the ride up to the end of the driveway, saying, “Your place or mine tonight?”

“How about both?” i said, laughing, and we both kept laughing as we got my stuff out of the car and into the house.

At the end of a hard day, it’s good to come home to someone you can really laugh and joke around with.

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Thumb.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

The sand dunes where we vacation are growing, and the fence around the state park is slowly getting overwhelmed:

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day The image of the week and my poem:

Scattering starlight
Night comes dancing overhead
Gaze up in wonder

Spinning and twirling
She dances ‘neath the stars
Wants us to join in
