Call Him Late for Breakfast, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

When i walked in to Carl's yesterday, his dad was awake and helping him get his breakfast.  "He woke up late, his alarm didn't go off," Mr. L explained.

Carl was eating cereal, which is not unusual, but there were open cans of "tinned" milk, which is.  They'd run out of regular milk, and Mr. L had opened cans of evaporated milk, diluted it with water, and served it, and Carl was enjoying it just fine.

What can i do to help you get ready, i asked Carl, and he answered, "Um, snacks, and my ice packs."

You'd think that wouldn't be so hard.  You don't take care of Carl.

First i opened his small freezer to find this.

It took a while to pry this out.

The freezer was empty of cold packs, just iced up terribly and with the bottom frozen over.  Instead, i checked the refrigerator's freezer section.

He'd left the glove on top, it had not allowed the freezer to shut properly, and, well, as you can see there was an ice cube incident.  Both freezers had to be cleaned and de-iced.

The fridge had a couple of choices in it for snacks, including half a pita sandwich, a pudding cup, and a few other odds and ends.  These were bagged and put in the small cooler, after i got it cleaned out, which was after i got a bag for the garbage can and got the garbage that was in it, unbagged, all bagged up.

During this process, while he ate and showered, Carl managed to ask me 3 times what snacks i had packed for him.  That man loves to eat.

Also, i grabbed all the cold packs and put them in a bag in the small freezer so all he'd have to do is grab the bag and head for the ice chest in the car.

Meanwhile, he was trying to "help" by picking dirty clothes up off the floor where i'd gathered them and putting them on the bed, because Ms. V is always after him to get stuff off the floor.  He also helps by turning off lights when i'm using them.  His parents want the lights off to be frugal.

Once i saw him safely out the door, which only took two tries, it was time to deal with laundry.  Getting the first load started, i ran to Ms. G's house about a mile away, fed the cats and birds, and came back.

Checking the dryer i found out he has a new laundry trick.  In addition to putting folded towels partially in drawers where they don't belong, he's now throwing dirty clothes in the dryer with the clean stuff because he got them all mixed up.

Ms. V bought him new hangers, but it hasn't helped.

He's still trying to hang things sideways on pants hangers while the new ones sit in the closet unused.

On the plus side, he does have some spiffy new jammies.

We won't throw the old ones out that have lost the mates because, after all, we're too frugal.

There was evidence he tried to vacuum.

How it should look, cord to the back not the front.

The whole thing was turned around backwards and i'm not sure how he managed, or if he ever got it to work.

Jock the dog went home last night, but since i featured a dog for Monday, i thought why not do some dog funnies today.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
