It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Carl about gave me "the agita" attack (as Boudreaux would say) when i arrived at his house yesterday.
The back door to his car had been left not-quite-shut. The light inside the car was not on. Did this mean he leaves that light turned off? Or did it mean the light had run all night and drained his car battery?
Getting into the house, i grabbed the key from him and went to the car. It started, and the light inside the car did not come on. Phew. His mother has trained him to leave it off for just this reason.
He leaves doors open all the time. You can follow where he has been by the trail of open doors, open cabinets, open drawers. Bread crumbs are not needed (or wanted, he has a horror of having any kind of bug in his room).
Speaking of doors, when i did open the back door into the house i saw this.
He's been "cleaning out his car" again. Once i was sure his car was going to start and i had the laundry going, i straightened up that area, too.
The laundry was its own problem. I found shreds of a paper towel in the washing machine. That could only mean one thing.
Yep, there too. In the dryer that was set up "fluff up," a ten minute cycle. Carl thinks if the cycle is 10 minutes, the clothes should be dry in 10 minutes.
I'd arrived after he started eating, so he wasn't wearing an apron to protect his clothes.
I made him change out of that shirt before going to work.
Last week, i cut him some slack on the "any change he doesn't pick up you can keep" order from his mother. He didn't go to work last Monday, so he wasn't in his room to pick up the change and put it in his pocket before work.
This week, i gave him a warning, and he took it seriously and picked up all but a couple of pennies that he didn't see, so those went in the change jar.
In honor of his habit of leaving doors open, some door funnies.
A last one that just made me smile.
Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!
