As It Should Be (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and a Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

When i was young, my brothers and i got an allowance and had chores to do.  Extra duties didn't always get extra pay, you were expected to work since you lived there, which is as it should be.

Grandchildren are paid by Grandpa for everything.  Which is also as it should be.

When Tee Boudreaux done be jes' old 'nuff to mow de lawn, he done get him $5 ever' week when he done finish, an' it be a big lawn.  Den he go to Gran-père Boudreaux li'l house dat done have de li'l strip o' grass in de front an' de "postage stamp" size back yard, an' Grand-père done pay him $10 to mow.

Dat night at de table, Tee done tell Boudreaux, "Père, I don' t'ink it be fair I only get me de $5 to mow de big lawn here an' Gran-père done pay me $10 to do hims li'l place.  Maybe I done need me a raise."

An' Boudreaux ax, "Garçon, you like to eat?"

An' Tee done say, "Mais, oui."

An' Boudreaux say, "Dinner be $5."

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.     \

These are from the past couple of weeks, and the sky shots through the fence behind the cat shelter were the only pretty skies we had this week because of the rain (every other day was solid gray).

This week, Dansig the Round wants to join the Kitties Blue for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.
