Month's End Mayhem (Not Really), a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

It seems Carl had some month end mayhem going on, but not much.

I've seen worse, and he'd tried to do laundry.

It's not often he ends up with the belt at the bottom of the clothes in the sink.

As i chivvied him to go to his sleep chair for his extra hour of snoozing, he stopped to decide which pillow to take with him.  He stood there feeling up the pillows like a granny squeezing the produce to get the best bargain and finally chose one.

Once he was safely ensconced in his blanket, i was able to do a more thorough assessment.

He'd had a dental visit.  That means it's time for me to start keeping my eyes peeled for the appointment card for next time.  Handing it to his mother as soon as he walks in so she can put it on the calendar would be too easy and logical.

Although he did do something logical and make several sandwiches this week.  He's getting a bit better about it.

But it's not often i find grocery bags in the freezer.  This one had a frozen meal in it, so at least it landed in the right place.

He had his usual dirty items where clean ones should be, and some of his "clean" clothes smelled questionable and got put in the dirty pile, but it didn't take me long to get his clothes in the bathroom for him and have him set up for his shower.

I'd made good headway when he came in about an hour later and grabbed the dental floss.  It would be easy to tell his dentist he uses floss all the time.  The problem isn't getting him to use it, it's getting him to remember to cut the piece of floss off of the roll, then actually make sure it lands in the garbage when he's done.

Trust me, you do not want to clean the vacuum brush roll after vacuuming his room.  Most homes, it's hair wound around it, here, it's floss.

We discussed the clothes i'd put in the bathroom for him to wear for work and he decided i'd chosen wisely.  He showered and actually remembered to throw the dirty clothes out to me so i could get the laundry started.

Then he started his breakfast and i packed the rest of his lunch.

He'd added this to his breakfast menu.  Carl is supposed to cut down on sugar, but it's hard to tell him that.

I took his keys to open the car and get his ice vest out.

Yes, his Easter bunny ears are in the back of the car.  He's a big kid at heart, always will be.

While looking for lunch items, i found a bucket with old popcorn in it in his cabinet and with no lid.

I took it to the big kitchen where he was eating and reminded him leaving open food in his room was the reason he was always battling ants.  I also told him it was stale and i was throwing it away.

"But it's buttery and good!" he protested.  "One more bite!"

Carl grabbed the one more bite, and as i thought, it was stale.  He spit it right back out, and the contents of the bucket went into the trash.

"But save the bucket, it's a good one!" he said, so i washed it and saved it for him.

While eating, Carl tells me about his weekend.  He'd seen a movie, and gone bowling, and then he told me about the game he'd played.

Sometimes he's hard to understand, and sometimes he mumbles, but as near as i can tell he told me, "It was a game where they give you a random weapon and a random dance move, they shot me down with machine guns, and we had plasma weapons, way cool, you can whack people, and I put down agents that don't seem to do anything but it had fun dance moves including Thriller, and I had teammates,oh, and I put down land mines, also there was a frenzy with zombies!"

If you followed any of that, good for you.  I just know he had fun at whatever it was.

He'd gotten totally ready to leave when he realized he had one more minute before he absolutely had to go, so of course he had to sit down to look at his tablet one more time.  That's why i had to chase him down with his hat and his sunglasses, of course he can't keep a hold of them once he sits.

And i did finally find the dentist appointment card, i paper clipped it to Ms. V's calendar in the office, she'll know what to do with it.

How about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  2. Those are good funnies. We can't imagine having floss all over the house. It would be better than if he was sewing and had threads all over as it is easier to see but still not good.
