It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Things are a bit different this week.

My Sweetie got Covid, and though i never had a positive test or felt ill, to err on the side of caution i am isolating for a couple of days.

Thus i went to Carl’s yesterday after he had left for work and had no contact with the rest of the family, and sanitized everything i had touched on my way out, washing machine and dryer, doorknobs, light switches, which i generally do anyway, but this time i did it last.

Fear not, however, i still have a tale to tell.  Last Thursday when i was there to clean the rest of the house, Carl had the day off and he felt sick, but it was his sinuses again.

“I need medicine,” he told me, “headache.”

You’ll have to check the medicine cabinets, i told him, and he did.  “Can’t find anything,” he said when he came back.

What were you looking for? i asked and he responded, “Tylenol.”

Since mommies are magic and i’m a mommy, i pulled a bottle of Tylenol from my bag of tricks and gave him 2.

“Do I need to take two?” he asked, and i told him to take one and if it didn’t help in about an hour, take the other.

He nodded and went to find water, spreading his usual chaos in the kitchen, which i then clean.

His tendency is to grab a cup from the cabinet, get a drink, set the cup on the counter, and next time he wants a drink, grab another cup.  You can see where this leads.

To combat it, he has a cup, which is mother washes by hand daily, and it lives on the counter by the sink.  It even has his name on it.  He is supposed to use it for water, only grabbing a cup from the cabinet if he wants tea, milk or juice.

It’s only partially effective.  When he grabs another cup, i remind him about his special cup and each time it’s like a revelation to him.

He then proceeded to eat a large amount for someone who was “sick” and then spent the rest of my time there doing what he loves best, snoozing.

Yesterday was not nearly as much fun with me arriving late, but don’t worry, he had his room in the usual chaos, although his fridge was more tidy than it generally is.  His mother had given him a head’s up i wouldn’t be there to prepare his lunch, so he’d made sandwiches, which were actually properly wrapped, will wonders never cease.

On this positive note, how about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
