Long Gone (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

While #2 Son and Daughter-in-Law and little Annie are up in Arkansas spending a weekend putting up "No Trespassing" and "No Hunting" signs and scouting a place to  put their first outbuilding, they are allowing me to use her car.

I am crazy careful with keys to things which are not my own.  I'm crazy careful with my own keys, too, most of the time, but it's worse when it's something borrowed.  (You should see how closely i guard the key bag with keys to client's homes, or better yet, you shouldn't, you'd think i'm ready for a rubber room.)

Thibodeaux done come to Boudreaux's house an' see Boudreaux dere shakin' hims head an' lookin' down de road.

"What be's up?" Thibodeaux done ax, and Boudreaux say, "I jes' done bought me a new dog from Augustin de locksmith, an' mais! if'n it din't be de firs' t'ing de dog do, he make a bolt fo' de door'!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is hosted by our friend River, and participants often include Charlotte/Mother Owl, Andrew, and Wise Web Woman.  Anyone else is welcome to join the fun.

It's the Spooky Season.

This week, Pepper Jack wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.

He insisted on a profile selfie, as he's the king of the cat shelter (more like a mascot).

  1. Jack Pepper sure is looking stunning on that print chair cushion. My, it must be a very scary sight at night with all those ghosts and skeletal dogs around – shamefully underdressed! ;)

  3. What a sweet ginger cat for a mascot. And how nice for you that you're able to borrow the car for the week. I'm like you, I like to keep track of anything that somebody loans to me as if it was solid gold and get it back to them when they're ready.

  4. our vets office has a cat just like Pepper Jack, they are the sweetest of all cats. we had Baby Girl, a dog who bolted for dat door every time it opened.
we don't borrow anything, when we married in 1985, we had no vacuum. we accepted the offer to borrow a friends and right in the middle of using it, it broke and we had to repair it. after that, no borrowing.
