My first thankful today is for the patience of my blog friends, as i am so far behind in reading and responding to blogs from this past weekend being out of town, i may have to give up on catching up. I am not ignoring anyone, just very behind and don't have enough time to get to back to even.
We're thankful Little Girl's wedding came off with the only hitch being they got hitched.
My Sweetie and i were thankful we got Grandma and Grandpa's house done quickly and got to the hotel in time to clean up before the wedding rehearsal and dinner.
The hotel was very nice, thankfully, and had a good breakfast. It was one of the few times each year we were both thankful, too, our church service is livestreamed so we can watch even if we can't be there.
The wedding venue was beautiful and we were thankful the wedding reception did not go on as long as they'd planned, so we got home by 11pm (from a Sunday afternoon/evening wedding over an hour drive away).
I was thankful for 5 hours sleep before we had to turn in the rental and i had to scoot to work.
Yes, thankfully, work went well and i was able to lie down for an hour before that night's ladies' meeting.
Can you see why i'm behind?
Tuesday morning, i was thankful to sleep an extra hour before getting up to go take care of our little Annie.
To say i am thankful for her would be an understatement.
Ms. G was back in town Wednesday and i was thankful we didn't work late and i got paid for last week's catsitting.
All of us at Wednesday night Bible study were thankful to be able to take time out to give support to one of our members who simply needed to talk for a while. When life's tough, you need friends willing to drop an agenda and be there.
Walking into Ms. SE's house on Thursday was like walking into a disaster site, almost. Emmie, mischief in dog form, has perfected the art of going in her kennel and pulling the door behind her so it looks like it's closed. As family members leave for the day, one peeks at her and sees her in there with the door seemingly shut, and they go.
Once she's sure they are gone, she comes out and enjoys herself, this time to the scattering of clean clothing waiting to be folded and the tearing up of a foam rubber ball all over the den.
The rest of the house was not much better. We were thankful to be done in 5 hours.
I'm thankful we had the energy to also do Ms. GA's house after, although it took the starch out of me.
Friday i was thankful, after prayer meeting, to again take care of our little Annie, and this time i brought her some new toys i'd bought as she is getting very bored with the ones she has.
The cat shelter was more than covered Friday night, so again i did extra chores which are often overlooked, we're thankful for extra help and time to do the extras.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Clark and his co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

I can understand why you are behind. What I can't understand is how you manage to blog at all, with everything you do. You put me to shame for sure.
ReplyDeleteWeddings are nice, cleaning after smart dogs not so. I hope the family learned the lesson.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, especially since you had a busy week. Commenting on your friends' posts would have been too much for you. It's nice that you said something. I appreciate you and your post. I love that you tell us your week. It is always interesting to me.
