Mix

The kittens' situation is a mix at the moment.

The four little ones we got on Sunday all stopped eating completely. Three of them started up again soon enough to be doing better. The tabby runt, despite subcue fluids and everything i could do, didn't start up again at all.

The 8 older kittens are eating like pigs, have the runs and aren't showing signs of it stopping, and have the kitten equivalent of diaper rash. Three of them are sneezing, four of them have weepy eyes, and Balthazar is starting to show signs of the same neurological problems that took little Tsula.

So eleven kittens, lots of meds, lots of litter, lots of love. That's what matters most.

In honor of National Humor Month:

If all is not lost, where is it?

One day Thibodeaux went up to Boudreaux. "You know Boudreaux, I think somethin' wrong wit me."
Boudreaux said, "Mais, Thibodeaux, tell me what's your problem.?"
"Well, Boudreaux," Thibodeaux said. "My whole body is in pain. Everywhere I press on my body it hurts."
"Thibodeaux, I think I know what's wrong with you." Boudreaux replied.
"Tell me Boudreaux, what could it be?"
"Thibodeaux, you need to see the doctor because your finger's broken."

  1. Awww poor wee things. It must be heartbreaking when they're not well. :(

  2. I must say, I would be in a funk if I had all the little ones ill... But, that's what we pet folk are there for, helping them get better! Good thoughts!

(On your joke, I was half expecting Boudreaux to say don't do that. After all, when I had an ache when I bent my arm, that's what my doctor said. Told him not to quit his day job, either...)

  3. Thanks for the comments! As long as they keep eating, it's not so bad. It's when they stop that you really worry. It's just so messy when they have "digestive upset".

Cat, that was a good thing to tell the doctor.
