Monkeying Around

How do you feed a group of monkeys at co-op? Make them monkey bread, of course.

Yes, it's easy. It's also enough fun that they enjoyed it, and there were no leftovers.

The large, flaky canned biscuits were on sale at the local mom and pop store, too, and that helps.

We pulled the biscuit layers apart, making each biscuit into two, and rolling each half in a ball. Dipped in melted butter, then in sugar and cinnamon. Dropped half of them in the greased springform bundt pan i got at an estate sale for fifty cents -- yea! -- and covered with lots of brown sugar. Put in the rest of the messy, buttery dripping, sugar coated balls, and added more brown sugar.

Bake at 350*F for about 35 minutes, and while it is baking pull out the one you prebaked so they can have the fun of eating it during class.

Watch them go insane and just about knock each other over for the last piece.

In honor of National Hum0r Month:

Women should not have children after 35. Really ... 35 children are enough.

Mrs. Boudreaux went to the local newspaper and said she wanted to put in the Obituary Column that Boudreaux died.
They told her it would be $1.00 per word.
She said, "Here's $2.00 - put in dere dat 'BOUDREAUX DIED'."
They said, "Mrs. Boudreaux, surely you want more dan dat."
She said, "Mais, no, just 'Boudreaux died'."
The editor said, "Well, you're a little upset. Bring yourself back tomorrow and you will probably tink of somethin else".
She came back the next day, and said, "Yeh, I taught of somethin else, 'BOAT FOR SALE'."

  2. PonyGirl, i know if it passes me going east, you get it next, so it's good to know you are okay.

Yes, sometimes we lose one, or even more. They only have about a 10% chance if they are younger than 10 days, and a 50-75% chance from eyes opened to about 4 weeks. So it goes with the territory, but it's never easy or fun.
