More Memories

This time of being with my best friend, Elizabeth, at her house, watching The Monkees.

It was our very favorite. We would perch on the edge of the couch, as close as we were allowed. Must be 6 feet from the tv to make sure you don't damage your eyes, we were always told.

Ice cream was our favorite snack to eat as we perched, and we waited breathlessly for every song, enjoying episodes we had previously seen even more, as we could often sing along.

It was a magical time.

Davy Jones, i don't want to say good-bye. So long and rest in peace will have to do.

  1. So sorry to hear about Davy Jones' passing, and at such a young age, but I'm glad he didn't succumb to drug abuse or any of the other maladies associated with super stardom.
