Emails and Farewells and Funnies, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

The way it goes in this house:

Sweetie:  Bye!
mimi:  see you!
Door opens and closes.
Thirty seconds.
Door opens and closes.
Sweetie:  Forgot my keys.  Bye!
mimi:  see you!
Door opens and closes.
Thirty seconds.
Door opens and closes.
Sweetie:  Forgot my wallet.  Bye!
mimi:  see you!
Door opens and closes.
Thirty seconds.
Door opens and closes.
Sweetie:  Forgot my glasses.  Bye!
mimi:  see you!
Door opens and closes.
Thirty seconds.
Door opens and closes.
Sweetie:  Forgot my phone.  Bye!
Sweetie:  Aren’t you gonna tell me good-bye?
mimi:  will you just leave already!

Overheard at prayer meeting:

Mr. BA:  I can't find my phone.  We've called it, but we have no idea where it is. I can't think of where I might have left it.
Pastor J:  That reminds me, you asked me to pray for your memory.  I'm going to have to start remembering to do that!

Is it just me, or is the email from Google that i got with the subject line "Help Us Protect You, Security Advice from Google" oxymoronic?

And a few random funnies from Grandma:

  1. Love those funnies. Smiling at Sweetie's forgetfulness. Which some days I share.

  2. The funny with songs from the 80s made me laugh. It is so much me! Thank you.

  3. Liked the toilet brush reference.

    God bless.

  4. Those are some fine funnies. Nice to have a day.

  5. That was one long goodbye. I've had those a time or two myself. Too funny.

Love grandmas funnies and especially that last one.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥

  6. Sweetie's forgetfulness makes me smile because sometimes I am like that too, going in and out of the house to get my things. Yes, I too received the same email. I will remember the toilet brush!

  7. All clever sayings. I definitely can identify the forgetfulness in the kitchen. A 180 degree turn and the whole meal can burn up.

I take the mailbox key when I go for a walk. On my way back .... I completely forget to get the mail ... pass it right up.
But I remember I forgot just as I enter the house. I never can figure out why I remember that I forgot. lol

  8. Going with being glad for a roof over my head today ... after the first snow of the season. :-)

  9. Those were good funnies and every a purrsistant goodbye!

  10. Will you just leave already? Ha ha too funny!

  11. Forgetting something. Me??? Never. Just ask Husband how many times I have called home asking if X thing is at the house, I don't seem to have it with me. Knitting, I rarely forget. Purse, a few times. At least my glasses are fairly obvious if they aren't there. Like, I can't see... Sigh.

Cat. Who is indeed thankful for a roof over my head...

  12. same for cats who chase their tail; sauce could chase his in one direction, turn on a dime and chase it the other, and never miss a beat !! ♥♥♥

  13. I've changed them back to the linkies you like. It wasn't because I wanted to change them, it's because my post wouldn't open with those linkies. You can go get today's linkies and put them on this post. Just saying. ♥

  14. That is funny. If I forget something, I ring the doorbell because it is bad luck to go back in after you leave. Yes, I am crazy. :)

  15. I can relate, not only am I having those memory issues myself, but Hubs just spent an entire afternoon driving around town looking for wherever he left his phone.

  16. Fun post ~ neat humor ~ ^_^

  17. I got that email from Google as well! I love your stories and quote cards. The last one made me giggle.

  18. I love that the final good bye was 'will you just leave already?' LOL! That's how I would have responded after the umpteenth time. ;)

    Your funnies are hilarious!! :)
