Just Say Choo-Choo! (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday, the topic of conversation at Grandma and Grandpa's house had to do with the current situation, the one we are already tired of dealing with.  We need to be concerned and careful, but not forget to pack a sense of humor.

Several year ago, Aline done be axing her Père an' Mère, Boudreaux an' Clothile, to come visit her at de college.

"We cain't travel dat far," Boudreaux say, "it be too far drive an' you Mère be too 'fraid to fly on de plane."

"How 'bout takin' de train?" Aline ax.

An Boudreaux say, "Mais, non! We cain't take de train!  Not wit' de risk o' de Amtrack [anthrax] virus!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

A few snaps from yesterday at Grandma's house:

A house is not a home unless it contains food and fire for the mind as well as the  body.  Ben Franklin

But as for me, I will always have hope.  Psalm 27:14

She made the choice to be quiet and still she wanted to hear her dreams again.

Being happy doesn't mean trying to be perfect, it means you have decided to see past the imperfections.

She Followed Her Heart

She Dreamed She Could Fly

Uncle P's latest woodworking project.

The only thing Grandpa bought to prepare for the virus.  (Yes, he knows it won't kill germs, he's a doctor, that's not why he bought it!)
