Society has come full circle.  Now we are back to a barter system for some things, with the bargain being worth more than mere money.

Sweetie has been doing outdoor work for The Big Boss.  This week, The Boss ran out of ready cash at home, and asked if he could pay in goods.

The Big Boss gave him the credit card to go fill the gas tank, and fed him a good meal, but the best part of the bargain was a full can of Lysol spray.  Score!

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Circle.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

Yesterday while waiting in line at the bank drive-up, i noticed a brick and wood fence, and snapped a photo, then realized i was in for a treat.  The daily goose parade was passing!

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day This week's image and my poem:

Rocking and snacking is fun,
But this I know is true,
I always have a better time
When I’m sharing it all with you!

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

Today’s thankful is for the goose parade i saw yesterday and got to photograph.  Those geese live at one pond, and they cross the street every day to go to another, then cross back.  Everyone on that busy street knows to stop and let them cross with the young ones, but this is only the second time i’ve gotten to see it, and never when they are crossing the street.

  3. Oh, lucky you - I only had one of the short cans of Lysol, and it's dwindling.

  8. Mimi,

It's funny how valuable every day items are right now. I tried doing some online shopping for some items yesterday but TP and papertowels for the most part remain out of stock but so are a lot of canned items. DH warned weeks ago that it would come to this and while I knew supplies might dwindle I didn't think it would actually get to this point. Boy is that fella smart! Nice poem and thanksgivings. Be well, my dear!

I've been meaning to mention this to you but keep forgetting. lol Not to worry I always find the right post I'm looking for but still I wanted you to know what's going on.

(Though, it's interesting that there places around the world where people can see the mountains in the distance, previously hidden by smog)
