Pebbles and BamBam (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Leaves of the Book (Poetry Monday)

***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Pebbles and BamBam are up for adoption as their owner went into hospice and there was no family able to take them:

They are not exactly good at posing.

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  She and Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey take turns providing a theme each week.   Charlotte/Mother Owl almost always participates, too.  This week the theme is Leaves.

Time turns the leaves
Of the book of our life,
It's been 35 years
We've been husband and wife.

The good times, the bad times,
We've taken in stride,
The leaves of this book
Are full of joy and pride.

We pray for more leaves
In this book to be writ
As our hearts very closely
Together are knit.

(Yes, it is our 35th wedding anniversary.  We have joked that we can now officially, when someone asks how long we've been married, look at each other and wink and say, "Forever!")

  6. Mimi,

Happy Anniversary! 35 years of marriage is quite the accomplishment. It's funny how fast the years go by, isn't it? Your poem is beautiful. It deserves to be in greeting card. :) I love the names of the kitties up for adoption!! Have a awwwesome Monday, my friend!

  8. The sign reminded me of a couple of life encounters. Back in the stone age, when I was a single young man, someone asked me if I was married and my replay was that I couldn't afford to get married. His response was, "If you wait until you can afford it, you'll never get married." Another friend of mine always said, "I stay ready so that I don't have to get ready." Have a blessed week.
