Proof (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday

***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

It's kitten season, and i have proof.  Our first mama and baby, Shoes (who didn't do a very good job at posing) and Laces:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

GoodDayQuote

***********************************

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog break and is very much missed.   Charlotte/Mother Owl always participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Spike's Best Mate often leaves a wonderful poem in the comments on one of our blogs.

This week the theme is World Poetry Day.

Once a year we celebrate

The lovely gift of rhyme

That is the center of most poems

That we hear all the time.

Poetry is so much fun

To read and write and say

It makes me wonder why

There's only one World Poetry Day!

  2. Awww. The kitten is a cutie.
Someone (Rumi?) said that poetry is the language of the heart - which means it is certainly deserving of more than one day.

  16. Saving that sweet Mama and Baby picture for our toddler, who is obsessed with 'mamas and babies'. She'll love it! Perfect poem. I, too, wonder why we only get to (officially) celebrate poetry one day a year!
