Awww-Some Pups (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia (Poetry Monday)

 ***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

We had four awww-some pups with us over the Thanksgiving week, Lulu, Coda, Abby and Jack.

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog break and is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon.   Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know or leave a poem in the comments on one of our posts.

This week the theme is Chia Pets.

It's a great time of the year,

A time for lots of fun,

For keeping on the lookout,

Chia Pet Hunting season has begun!

Time to see how many

Different Chias you can spot,

It's a most amusing pastime,

Because there are quite a lot.

You can find a unicorn chia,

A hedgehog or a pig,

Baby Yoda, Shrek and Bob Ross,

Pets both small and big.

Turn it into a contest,

A scavenger hunt of sorts,

Compete against your friends,

But remember to be good sports.

Then go buy a chia yourself,

Your favorite, bring it home,

This week i am hunting mine,

Trying to find a chia gnome!

I remember the Chia pet commercials from the 70s and 80s. I don't think about those much anymore but your poem put a smile on my face. Also, loved your spark. Great advice to live like someone left the gate open. lol
