It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Because Carl is back to working winter hours (9a-1p instead of 7a-11a), he takes great delight in going back to sleep when i show up on Monday morning. He really loves his recliner, and is just as happy to get out of bed and let me clean while he snoozes.
When i do finally have to let him know it's wake-up time, i shoo him straight into the shower and i already have put away the 2-3 extra sets of clothes he got out the night before, leaving him with one set to put on.
Then it's breakfast time, the best time of his day besides lunch, dinner, and snacks.
This is just the start, the oatmeal is in the microwave, the toast in the toaster over and he had gone to get some of the biscuits out of the fridge. Oh, and don't forget the egg cooking on the range.
Yesterday he only came back in the house after heading out to the car two times instead of 3, once to get a heavier weight jacket (although i'm afraid by noon it was going to be too hot, he wasn't convinced) and then because he needed another water bottle (you can't have too many of those).
This Thursday is a day made just for him, no work, lots of sleeping late and then going to the relatives house for a huge meal. He's going to be in his element.
Here's an interesting friendship:
A few thoughts from Ducky:
Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

That kitty/budgie friendship is the sweetest thing ever.
ReplyDeleteHow is Carl not a two-legged barrel with all this eating? I feel it's impossible to move enough to burn off all this. The continuing story of his antics is precious.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely friendship. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteI liked the funnies and echo Charlotte about Carl.
The friendship between the cat and the bird is so special and beautiful. Thanks for the funnies.
ReplyDeleteCarl probably loves Thanksgiving more than Christmas! Maybe the kitten was born without instincts or something??? Great funnies too.
