In Sunset Light (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins and Chris’ Book Launch

***********************************

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.

He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

As i was taking sunset photos last night,

Tripod SissyCat was enjoying her romp in the grass.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I would rather smell a skunk than smell _________.

2. Every March I look forward to _________.

3. I knew _________ the moment that _________.

4. _________ is currently my silver lining.

1. I would rather smell a skunk than smell   anything burning in my house.   PSA, if it has a motor or heating element, it can burn, and yes that means dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators, toaster ovens, and coffee makers.  We've had at least one of each catch fire or burn out in our house, and in one case we were very fortunate the whole house didn't go.  Watch your appliances, don't leave those small ones plugged in and don't have the big ones running (except the fridge) if no one is in the house.  Clean that fridge motor area and coils frequently, i know of what i speak.

2. Every March I look forward to   open window weather, not too hot, not too cool.

3. I knew   i would want to keep bottle raising orphaned kittens  the moment that   the first group i raised got old enough to go up for adoption.  It's a wonderful feeling, knowing those sweet babies are going to be in good forever homes.

4. Nothing takes our Heavenly Father by surprise, King Jesus is still on the throne, and the Holy Spirit is still going wherever the will of the Father sends Him  is currently my silver lining.

  1. I don't know how a skunk smell like. I wouldn't want to smell something burning again because I have burnt a few pots already. Amen to fill in #4.

  2. I also never smelled a skunk, but I have had small appliances buning, and a co-villagers' house burning down because of a freezer, so yes, the smell of burning is the worst!

I like number 4 much especially now.

  13. I would love to watch Lola outside, but the law here is to keep cats indoors. I remember feeding "no-one's" Missy when she first arrived, not yet weaned, but abandoned by her mother, I used an eye dropper to drip watered down milk into her mouth the first day, then bought "kitten" milk and gave her that. She eventually learned to lick it off my finger which I gradually lowered into the saucer of milk and after that she was on her own. it's very satisfying isn't it?
