Where You Goin'? (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week and Poetry Monday

 **********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Even though he goes for a walk with us on Sunday mornings, Mr. Cal always seems to be wondering what's up when we head to church, he does not like being left behind.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Distancing.

To keep distance from

fifty's worth losing

The scientists who smash atoms

know the danger from being too near

they have to keep a distance

if they hold their lives to be dear.

So how to watch what's going on,

do they have any hope?

Of course, the just had to build

a big collide-oscope!

*******

Future themes are:

Mar. 11 distancing (today!)

Mar. 18 meaning

Mar. 25 happy news

Apr. 1 shelf

Apr. 8 order

Apr. 15 tape

Apr. 22 running

Apr. 29 quiet

  1. There is no doubt that our pets really don't want us to leave them for the day. They simply don't know if we'll be back quickly or not.

  4. We have our routines at home here too, but three of us hate to be left behind. Bailie prefers to stay home because of not liking car rides, but the rest of us always want to go along. We understand that pup well.

  10. My cat Lola never even notices when I go out, as long as she has access to her tray and water, she just sleeps the day away and when I get home from anywhere I ask her "did you miss me?" and she just blinks and goes back to sleep unless she is hungry, then she follows me for food.
