Mr. Cal (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week and Poetry Monday: Fidgety

 ***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Mr. Cal "has a sad."

He did fine on the walk without it, but any other time he has to wear the cone until his stitches come out Thursday (he had a small mole removed).

***********************************

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Fidgety.

Child so fidgety

wanting to grow up so fast

there is no return

*******

Fidget spinners are

useless say the people who

bought all those pet rocks

*******

No matter how long

you fidget with the remote,

shows are no better

*******

Are we just fidgety

until we die?

Just marking time

under the sky?

Don't let your time

under the blue

be marked by what

you didn't do.

*******

Future themes are:

Feb. 17 Fidgety (Today!)

Feb. 24 Fluffy

Mar. 3 Station

Mar. 10 Ghost

Mar. 17 Steam

  11. Cones are enough to ruin any pet's day. According to the weatherman, I can make snow ice cream tomorrow. Frankly, I'd rather make iced tea. Have a blessed week.

  13. Titally fidgetty poems. That last one thought provoking ... why is it people always most regret what they did not do?
