Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute). Then add your link!
One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do. So come and join us in Feline Friday.
What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!
These are just a few of our current friends at the cat shelter.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. _________ was a faux pas I made once.
2. I know every line of _________.
3. I need a good recipe for _________.
4. If I were in charge of _________, I would change _________.
1. Mistaking Brother-in-Law's voice on the phone with my Sweetie's was a faux pas I made once. They are identical twins, and though they do not look so much alike now that people who know them well mistake them for each other, they do sound remarkably alike on the phone sometimes. Now i pause to make certain which one i'm talking to.
2. I know every line of many Psalms and a lot of hymns.
3. I need a good recipe for a balsamic glaze to drizzle on things.
4. If I were in charge of training volunteers at the cat shelter, I would change the videos for in person training, as people often claim they've watched the video, but then do a lot of stuff incorrectly.

Nature Friday is hosted by LLB in Our Backyard. Simply post a picture of the natural world, and link up!
It's foggy season, and some of our trees, like the crepe myrtles and cypress, do change color and some drop leaves, too.

Flashback Friday is hosted by FiveSibes. Come hop along memory lane with us!
Ms. GA and Mr. BA's cat, Abigail, was everyone's friend and loved napping on the big bed.

Lovely kitties. I do like seeing colourful autumn leaves spread around, but not once they turn to mush after a big rain.

ReplyDeleteAwww, such cute kitties at your shelter. I hope they find good homes, soon.
ReplyDeleteI had almost the same answer to #2 as you did, its on Ellen's blog...we have a new hymnbook now and sining from memory can get awkward, as some of the old words have been changed a bit....not to mention the accompaniment.
Those are all sweet kitties, and I hope they very soon get their homes.
ReplyDeleteI know every line of several hymns and psalms. Dear Lord and Father of mankind is my favourite. I used to enjoy Religious Education and still have my little blue hymn book that was given to everyone at school.
Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteCats ... if only someone would write a musical about them!
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The kittens are at the light to see. Let's hope they all get homes Before Christmas. And your Sky pictures are lovely of course. Ours are just dark and gray and damp. Sunshine is over until about Monday they say. I've always wish that I could memorize the words to any song. Not only do I have a tin ear I don't have the capability of memorizing the words.
ReplyDeleteMom loves the kittens, the ones in the last two photos would be ones she would want to adopt if we were going to have a cat again. Hope they find homes before the holidays and not as a holiday gift.
ReplyDeleteThe first kitty reminds us of Angel Raz. Great answers to the fill-ins.
ReplyDeleteThose shelter sweeties sure are cute and those were good fill-in answers!
ReplyDeleteLovely picture, the foggy ones are so mysterious. Interesting fill ins - I know quite a few hymns by heart!
ReplyDeleteAbigail was beautiful and so are all the shelter kitties. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins. I always enjoy your answers. That is a funny faux pas. :) Your idea for training at the shelter is a good one. XO
Petonets, Mimi!
The kitty pics are so cute. They are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could bring all those shelter kitties home. I already posted for today, absentmindedly forgetting to play along on Feline Friday today. I'll be back next week to play.
ReplyDeleteThose foggy pictures could be the cover of a horror book. The clear, colorful pictures following them clearly show what time of year it is.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous foggy photos ~ do hope the kitties find loving and forever homes asap ~ hugs
