Birthdays and Burglar Alarms and Losing It All, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you   would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

First and most important, i want to wish many happy returns of the day to my Sweetie!  He is mumblety-mumble (sixty-five!) years old today.

#2 Son wanted to pull a joke on him.  He was going to buy a bunch of those naked blow-up dolls and fill them with helium, and let them lose just as church was getting out to make people think they'd missed "the rapture."  Turns out the dolls are too expensive, but there's a cheaper way to do it.

Years ago, when they were in college, Sweetie and his friend pulled that joke on Brother-in-Law the Mouth by waiting for him to leave the dorm room for a few minutes.  While he was gone, they stripped their clothes off, dropping them right where they stood, and got in the closet.  Brother-in-Law came in and about passed out.

On a completely different topic, Dr. D has decided she is tired of spending money on a storage unit, so we have been whittling at it a bit every week.  She is also getting things out of the house at a faster pace.  Yesterday i was able to take a curio cabinet that she was never going to fix out to the curb.  It was gone in two hours, and i know whoever took it can fix it and enjoy it.

We also finally gave up on getting the old phone working.  She set it up with a Google account and we have no idea which one, because it's none of the ones she currently has.  Yes, she has several email accounts, and i cannot figure out why.  Every time i get them all set up, with the passwords written down, she loses the notebook again.  When she finds the notebook, we can't find the second phone.

Tomorrow i have Ms. R's house again, and i hope they have fixed the lock on the back door.  Last time it couldn't get the door unlocked, so i had to go in through the bedroom door and it set the alarm off.  Mr. K, her husband, was called and told them not to send the police.  Then he came to the house and said, "Please don't tell my wife, she's been after me to get the lock fixed and boy will she fuss if she finds out!"

No, i haven't told her, but i do hope he got the locksmith out.

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!

Love the phone boondoggle. Must be frustrating to do all that and then have the notebook disappear.

I hope that lock is fixed. Yikes.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥

Hope the door lock was fixed for you. It is the worst when you accidentally set off an alarm. So loud. Ugh.

  15. Happy (belated) Birthday to your sweetie! I'm laughing like a 12 year old boy at Son #2's idea to celebrate his dad's birthday... especially since your hubby did the rapture prank back in college! :)

Good on Dr. D for whittling things down - I need to do that here, too. Got rid of the storage unit years ago, but still have stacks'o'boxes (that used to be in storage) taking up valuable space. I really need to do some serious purging!

Hope the lock was fixed! :)
