Little Pitchers, Big Ears (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Today i am assigned to help with the 3-year-olds in the church nursery.  All of the nursery kids are fun, but they are certainly at that age where you have to be careful what you say in front of them.

Clothile done be wantin’ to have her a romantic dinner wit’ Boudreaux, so she done make sure Aline be spendin’ de night at de friend house, an’ she call Grand-mère to come get Tee.

Grand-mère done arrive to get Tee jes’ de same as Boudreaux get home, an’ Clothile she gots de table set wit’ de good plates, an’ de lights be off and dere be candles ever’where.  Boudreaux walk in an ax what be goin’ on, an’ Clothile done tol’ him it be a romantic, candlelight dinner.  Well, he whisper to Grand-mère dat it look more to him like it be dey done fo’got to pay de ‘lectric bill, an’ Tee done hear dat.

A few week later, it be Christmas Eve an’ de fam’ly be goin’ to de evenin’ service.  Dey get jes’ to de place in de service where dey all be lightin’ candles an’ de lights be turn out an’ Tee yell, “Père, it done be look like de church don’t pay dey ‘lectric bill, too!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by River at Drifting Through Life.

Decor from friends and clients:
