Mama's Gonna Burst! (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Thankful Thursday, and Sammy's Poetry Day

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

First, it was finding out #2 Son's registration on his car had expired.

Next, it was finding out that no, he did not happen to have any proof of insurance.

Then finding the renewal notice for the registration stuffed in the glove box -- he'd never sent it in!

After that, arranging to get proof of insurance printed up so Sweetie could go get it and then take the car, very carefully because you don't want to get pulled over at this moment, to the notary to get it reregistered.

Heading out to go get said insurance card, the tire on Lunceford the Land Yacht was flat again, this time a razor blade instead of a nail.

Change the tire, get the insurance card, get to the notary before it closes, get to Kevin and Lenny's to fix the tire -- kids, you put too much more on this old mama and she's gonna burst!

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Burst.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

This fence is a whole hedge and two gates.  When i passed it, i was only in time to snap this photo, but i will go back and get a better one:

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

My thankful today is that i didn't lose my mind yesterday!  Between #2 Son not having a current registration and insurance in his car, Sweetie's doctor appointment, the trouble with the generator, and another flat tire, i am just glad to be here to tell the tale.

The image this time reminded me of how we spent Easter Sunday when the kids were little.

This week's image and my poem:

We do this every spring,
It's our favorite thing,
When my kite is in the air,
I run along without a care!

  1. I am super impressed that you retained your sanity after a day like that.
    And love the fence.

  2. What a stressful day, Mimi!
I wonder if someone cut the tire with a razor blade or if he ran over one. Either way, not good.
I love that hedge and gates. Although it seems like the gate could be locked, but the hedge isn't tall enough to really deter intruders.
Reading Guilt Day makes me laugh a bit.

  17. Just here to check in on you and your family before the storm. We're the old frazzled survivors, but the reason we're survivors is that we know how to prepare. Just keep us in the loop and know that you're in our thoughts. Maybe Barry will just peter out like his namesake... zero.
