Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

This photo is of one of our foster kittens from years ago, having a great time attacking a paper bag.

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  She and Jenny take turns providing a theme each week.  This weeks theme is Bodies of Water.

(This is a freeform poem and based on what really happened.)

The Quiz

Grandma was once enamored with giving everyone a quiz
It was supposed to tell your personality, or some such
It had four questions
You were supposed to name your favorite color
And give three words to describe it
Then name your favorite animal
Giving three words to describe the animal
After that you were to imagine yourself in a
Totally white room, nothing in it, just white, and describe
How you feel in that room
And finally, name your favorite Body of Water
With three words to describe it.

Grandma would give this quiz,
Then take great delight in telling you
What you think of your favorite color
Is really how you view yourself
What you think of your favorite animal
Is really how you view other people
How you feel in that room
Is how you feel about death
And how you describe your favorite Body of Water
Is how you feel about your love life.

She enjoyed giving that quiz
Until she gave it to Grandpa
And his three words for the Body of Water
Were "warm, playful, and polluted."

She quit giving people that quiz.

    The quote thought provoking.
I love your take on a body of water - and am not at all surprised that quiz was discontinued.

  3. Yes, that kind of quizzes made their rounds once upon a time. I never were into them, but I met some, who like your granny loved to ask all those kind of strange questions with more or less stupid interpretations. I see why your granny discontinued that notion.
We children had anothe one. Ask people about their favourite number, colour and animal. Me: 19, blue and owl; then asking: Have you ever seen a blue owl with 19 legs - making everybody laugh.

  4. Interesting quiz and I can see why she discontinued it after Grandpa's answer.
