Little Angels (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

At Grandma’s yesterday, we were reminiscing of Christmas past, and talk turned to the children.  They were little angels, of course, but that’s looking at the past through the rose colored glasses.  There were times when they were threatened with the naughty list.

Clothile done get her de call from Marie an’ she say, “Clothile, you li’l garçon, Tee, done be here, an’ he say hims soeur [sister] Aline done tole him he cain’t go home!”

So Clothile done call Aline an’ ax, “Chile, what you done to you li’l frère [brother] dat you tole him he cain’t come home from Marie an’ Thibodeaux house?”

An’ Aline say, “Mais, we done be playin’ Christmas.  I be Père Noel an’ he be de gift an’ I done gived him away!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

More holiday photos.

  3. My Dad was notorious for hiding the Christmas presents under his bed, where they would get pushed to the back and often not make their debut under the tree for several years...

  9. Love the Cajun joke which reminds me of the time my grand daughter was four and put herself under the giant tree at a shopping mall then told me she was a present and I had to take her home, which I did of course. Love all the other Christmas decorations, so many of them!
