Surprises Galore, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

 ***********************************

What a week, and what a Thankful Day!

Last Saturday, in NOLA, i left some keys behind.  They fell out of my bag behind a door where i stow the bag.  They were keys to homes where i work, so very important.

While i am not glad i lost them, i am very thankful that none of the lost keys were needed this particular week, and that Grandma found them and called me about it.

Becca, heaven bless the child, came to church with me on Sunday.  It's the first time she's been able to go in quite a while, and she did very well.  We are thankful for progress.

Carl's room was as bad as i've seen in it quite a while when i went on Monday, and while Ms. V (his mom) wonders at my sanity, i simply smile and consider it job security.

Tuesday was laundromat day, and i am so thankful for a clean and efficient laundromat that is not far from Ms. S's place.

Ms. S is feeling much better this week.  She is eating each meal as it is delivered, instead of stacking up meal after meal in the fridge until there are so many i have to throw the old ones out.

Wednesday afternoon i actually got a short time to go lie down, something i do not get too often and that i enjoy thoroughly.

The reason i got the time to lie down was because i ended up with less work this week, and thus less pay.  It was time to get the oil changed in GusGus der Fledermaus on Thursday after work, and i was simply not sure i would be able to do it.

Heaven bless Mr. Lenny, i told him i was going to pay for half this week and the rest next week, and he didn't charge me anything at all.  He even had them rotate the tires.  Once again, i am so thankful for an excellent mechanic shop, and we are very close to having everything we owe them paid off.

Friday went well, i was thankful Mr. BA's friend who was coming to work on the greenhouse got there before i had to leave for an errand so i could let him in.

The shelter, like so many places, has had trouble getting shipments in, so i was thankful to see the kitten food had arrived, and while i was there, we thankfully accepted a Chewy delivery of cat litter.

We are also almost caught up on getting the cats spayed and neutered so all the preadopted cats can go home.  (Because of Covid, spay/neuter surgeries were delayed as being non-essential, and we can't let a cat go to a new home without the surgery.)

Little Girl sent me a text yesterday afternoon.  It seems she was told yesterday morning she has to report to her duty station for a week of training this morning.  This means we get to puppy-sit Coda for a week, and she gets to come with me today to visit Lulu.

So many thankfuls as we speed toward Christmas and the New Year.  Next week, i hope to be able to report on all the holiday stuff i got done!

Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.
