It is Thankful Day, and as they say on Sesame Street, today is brought to you by the letter "I".

Let's start with Innocence.  The other day, i stepped outside to get something from the car and noticed a mom walking a dog, with her small son tagging behind.  The dog had been let off the leash, and he was staying right with them, bounding a jump or two ahead, then bounding back.  The young son had taken the leash and wrapped it around himself!  It was so funny, seeing the dog having a great time and the boy wrapping the leash around his middle.  Then he noticed me and said, "Hello!" and waved to me like i was his long lost best friend.  Innocent fun all the way around.

Ice.  My body still doesn't want too much water without ice to keep it down, and we don't have an ice maker, so i am very thankful for convenience stores that let me fill my cup with ice for free when i get gas.

Good ideas are a thankful thing.  Sweetie would still like to go back to working full time, and someone gave us a good idea or two of places to apply.

The occasional idle hour for a chance to examine the insides of my eyelids for cracks is much appreciated.

Illumination from our beautiful Sun in the day and electric lights at night is a very thankful thing.

If it were not for the internet, i wouldn't be doing this!

It's so good to have an imagination.

It's a blessing to inhabit a nice habitation.

Intelligence enough to read and write and communicate, i am very thankful for that.

There are important people for whom i am thankful, family and friends (including online friends).  One of those is Ms. Marg, an animal rescue hero who had a birthday this week.  She has rescued more critters by herself than any other person i know, making her one of those important people who never make the news but instead just go about quietly making a difference.  Many happy returns of the day to you, Ms. Marg!

Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.
