Blessings (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Sammy's Poetry Day, and Brian's Thankful Thursday

***********************************

It's Thanksgiving Day, and i am filled with gratitude.

Since last year at this time, much has been lost.

Since last year at this time, much has been gained.

We mourn Uncle P (my brother), and his wife, Miss Eva, has moved away to live near her own mother.

We're grateful for faith, family, friends, and all of you.

May you have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving, or simply a wonderful Thursday.

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Lost.

While Good Fences Around the World seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, i still enjoy looking for and posting interesting fences, so i will!

This one i just happened to drive past and thought the birds were fascinating.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day!  This week's image and my poem:

"Young man, do you know

Why I pulled you over?"

"Sorry, Officer, I'm just

Trying to catch up with Rover!"

"Young man, you're going slowly

And blocking other cars."

"But I'm charged with catching Rover,

And you stopped me and now he's to Mars!"

"Young man, I'll just give you a warning,

Keep your vehicle on the sidewalk,

Also, I'll help you find Rover."

"Thanks sir, you know, you rock"

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.
