Off and Snoozing, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

It is my understanding i am supposed to reveal my theme for this year's Blogging From A to Z Challenge, which Challenge i try to do each year.  My theme is the same, meandering.  We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

How many clothes does one person need?

When you are Carl, it seems the answer is a whole lot, and they end up all over.  He'd even pulled down some of his "paint clothes," kept for outdoor work and, of course, painting.

No, he's not doing either of those at the moment, what does that have to do with pulling those clothes down?

He once again had the day off when i went over there to clean.  His mother, Ms. V, wants him to be modest and wear a robe when i'm there.

He had on a coat because his robes were dirty.

When i went to change the pillowcases on the pillow on his sleep chair (because it needed washing), he took off the coat and stripped off his pajama top and said it smelled funny.  He wanted it washed, too, and he grabbed the other top, the one he'd been sitting on, and put it on.

Yes, he changes clothes right there in front of Heaven and everyone, but she wants him to be modest.  Not going to happen in my lifetime, and it's a good thing i am old enough to be his mama and think of him as one of my extra children so it doesn't bother me.

He only came in to his room while i was cleaning 3 times.  First, it was because his teeth felt fuzzy.  The second time, he wanted something from his refrigerator.

Then he came in and said, "I need my gas pills so I can eat."

I pulled the gas pills out of the medicine cabinet, handed him the bottle, and as soon as he was done with it i told him i was going to put them right back in the cabinet this very moment so you'll know where they are the next time you need them.

He stared at me blankly, so i am sure the irony was lost on him.

In honor of Carl's many days off, some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  7. You should receive sainthood on this earth! Carl is someone who would try a persons patience but you handle him with goodness and grace. God Bless you girl! I am that fat cat lounging around. I had a terrible cold and cough and lost all my energy. I am so much better this week so I am getting the house ready for our company coming this week. Our baby girl and her husband from Western NY. I sure hope they leave all that snow behind hahaha. I love all your shares today and always.

  11. Good golly that's a lot of clothes. Mind you, if one spread out my clothes in a similar fashion, I'm sure they would probably equal Carl's! Right now, crammed in the closet, they look like a 'modest' number! ;)
    Great 'Day-off' funnies!
