She Gets the Task Done (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day and Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday

 ***********************************

Yesterday, i arrived at Ms. G's place while she was out getting a haircut, so i started in with the usual, litter boxes, reload the cold drinks in the spare fridge, do the vacuuming.

When she came in, she said, "Let's go play at Costco," so we went.  Her timing was perfect as she snagged a rotisserie chicken fresh off the spit.

The next job on her list was cramming all the out-of-season bedding in the top of the spare room closet, which got temporarily preempted by her dizzy spell from having her arms above her head for too long.

A short recovery on the couch with a cold cloth on her face and a bottle of water, and she had us back at it.

Not much phases her, she's going to get it done or die trying, whatever the task.

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Task.

While Good Fences Around the World seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, i still enjoy looking for and posting interesting fences, so i will!

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day This week's image and my poem:

I can't quite tell if I got one,

they melt so fast, you see,

but I'm not going to stop

'cause this kind of fun is free!

  3. Is a brick wall a fence? Is a metal gate a fence? Is a hedge a fence? Is a line of trees a fence? What is a fence? Why do people take offence so easily these days? We need more fences to take offences at.

    God bless.

  4. Getting paid to go along shopping at CostCo is kind of like a paid break. Glad the trip was successful and the other chores were completed at home too.

  5. It sounds as if Ms. G. Is a lovely lady. Good that you could go shopping with her. As usual your fence pictures are very intriguing. The wrought iron is very beautiful.

  6. tough old bird, that Ms. G*

*compliment in that old-fashioned manner that is totally unworkable in this modern medium of the written thought... no where near enough italics! lol

  7. Boy, your salary should have been doubled for having to go to Costco. I dread it in that I have a hard time finding a place to park. Getting through the throngs of people is a pain because I am usually a swift walker and I know where what I want, is.

  8. Lulu: "Uh-oh, Costco! The place Dada refuses to shop, even though he has a membership!"
Oona: "Why does Dada not want to go to Costco?"
Chaplin: "Remind me some time to show you the adventures Dennis had on Planet Costco ..."

  15. Ms. G. reminds me of the energizer bunny.
Cute poem, Mimi. I'm hoping not to see any of those flakes fall in my neck of the woods this weekend.
Receiving a gift of time when you least expect it is a definite thankful.

  16. I remember as a child how I liked catching snow on my tongue. These days, I rather watch it fall gracefully from the sky. It's a real pretty show to watch whenever I can catch it that is. It doesn't air too much here!. :)
