You’ve Got It, Sort Of, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

They finally got the lights fixed in Carl's room, and i arrived yesterday to find the light in the laundry room is out again.  It's not easy to use ambient light in there from the hall and the closet, but needs must.

There were clothes everywhere in there, and some of the stuff in the dryer didn't smell fresh.  I went ahead and gave a sniff test to everything in the dryer to rewash some of it and made the mistake of asking him if the clothes on top of the washer were clean.  He got very confused and didn't know.

It made for lots of laundry yesterday.

"It was testimonies at church yesterday," he told me.  I told him that was a good thing, and he mentioned a family name, but i didn't catch it as i was busy tying an apron on him.  Good thing, too, it needed washing once he was done with breakfast.

Then it's time to make sure he has lunch.  He actually had a sandwich made, and only one bag in the fridge, with a can of peppermint flavored whipped topping.  I get the feeling he's going to be enjoying that straight out of the can.

At various points before he left, he told me to make sure he took his sweater, as it was going to be cold, walked past me with his phone in his hand saying something that sounded like "the washer's coming to Las Vegas," and begged me to put away all of his change as he was about to run out the door.

I told him i would, and also told him he had $100 available.  He said, "Give it to me quickly!"

I pointed to the $100 in change in rolled tubes waiting for him to finally take them to the bank.  Take that to the bank and put it in your checking account, i told him, and he looked a bit distressed.

Then he added, "Do I need thermals?" and before i could answer, "Gloves, quick!"  I handed him the gloves and he ran.

Later, going through his clothes, i found his debit card.  It had obviously been through the washer and dryer again, as it was bent.  Handing it to Mr. L when he got up, he told me, "Yes, Carl was saying something the other day about needing a new one."

Or, i suggested, heat it with a hair dryer and see if you can get it to flatten out! and we both laughed.

Time for funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
