There's been a bit of zig-zaging this week, and i'm thankful it's all working out.
Last Saturday, we had to work around some of the furniture at Grandma and Grandpa's house, it seems they may still have a mouse problem. We're thankful for a close family friend who is an exterminator who will make sure it gets taken care of, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Sunday found me and Becca searching high and low for her coat since the weather was raw and cold. We had to make do with a different one we were thankful was available, and Mr. Cal was thankful we stayed out in the weather long enough for him to get a visit with a couple of his friends.
My evening plans changed when #2 Son called, he and His Bride needed some time out of the house. Could i be there with the baby? But of course, i was thankful to do so.
Ms. V had plans to be away this week, so on Monday i was thankful she pre-wrote checks for me for the next two visits, when she was scheduled to be out of town.
We had our ladies' meeting Monday evening, we'd had to switch whose house it would be at, but we were thankful to enjoy dinner and each other's company, no matter who hosted.
Tuesday i was with the baby when i got a call from #1 Son, his car was having trouble yet again! I was thankful Sweetie answered his phone and was able to meet #1 Son at Kevin and Lenny's to get him home, then switch some plans around and arrange to take him to work Wednesday.
Always thankful to see this little lady. |
I was also thankful to be able to switch things up a bit on Wednesday so i could get some shopping done after the cat shelter and still get to work on time, and i was thankful Sweetie met me there and got the shopping home to the fridge.
Because of an appointment on Thursday, i was going to go to Ms. V's at 6am as usual, and because she was supposed to be out of town and Mr. L is usually in his chair by that time, i was going to take care of the bedroom first, go to my appointment, then come back and finish up the rest of the house.
Ms. V was not gone due to a change in plan, so my plans changed, too. I was thankful to still get to my appointment and get the work done, as well as manage to get home by a reasonable time.
The cat shelter was so packed out on Friday i had to zig-zag, along with Ms. M, to get around everyone and get all the caretaking done. We were thankful for the increase in activity, as it meant we had extra volunteers and 7 (yes, seven!) adoptions.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Clark and his co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.
