Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

"It's BEGINNING to look a lot like Carnival Time!"

Josh grabbed Jess and started waltzing her across the kitchen floor, spinning her fast enough the TOWEL over her shoulder went flying HIGH on its own JOURNEY and ENDING up on the floor.

"Somebody sure has a SPRING in his step!" Jess laughed as she twirled.

"And why not?" Josh asked.  "We've been invited to the MASQUERADE ball, and you're going to have the time of your LIFE.  We'll dance the night away, and we're going to stay downtown at a very fancy bed and breakfast the night before and after, and just enjoy a bit of a break.  We've had enough of the SHADOW in our life lately, don't you agree?"

Jess just smiled, knowing how hard the recent business trouble he'd worked through had been on him.  "We'll have a wonderful time and forget all our troubles," she agreed.

"Meanwhile, has the dress designer contacted you?"

"Yes, she has, and the dress is ready for me to try on for the first fitting.  She said it's New Start Yellow, whatever that means."

Josh laughed.  "You'll make it look beautiful.  Meanwhile, since supper isn't ready yet, I'm going to be a FORAGER in my own house and scare up some bread and jam to hold me out since I'm famished."
