Get a Charge Out of It (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections, and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

I arrived home yesterday from NOLA to find #1 Son and his friend, West, deep in working on #1 Son's car.  As soon as he parked, #2 Son joined them.  They were having quite a time getting a particular bolt loose, but eventually it did give.

#1 Son's car is like mine with the battery last week, it seems there's always something.

Boudreaux done have him de problem wit' de car ag'in, an' he done took it to Gaston.  Gaston say, "It be's de batt'ry, an' it done be in de time o' de warranty, so dey ain't goin' be a charge."

An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, if'n you replace my batt'ry, dere better be a charge, or it ain't gonna start de car!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  Our friend River is hosting, and other participants often include Charlotte/Mother Owl, Andrew, and WiseWebWoman

The festive table from our ladies' circle meeting last week, where one of our members turned 90, flowers and a bee or two, and sunsets.

I hope wherever the Beehive is here in my area that they are safe for the winter and then I get to feed them sugar water again next year. Happy Sunday

  12. Lulu: "Our Dada doesn't work on his own car, but he knows about stuck bolts! When he and Mama moved here to Southern California from New York, he says that whenever he would take his car to a new mechanic they would always be like, 'Where have you been driving this car???' Because apparently mechanics here don't know how to deal with the kind of rust you see on the bottom of a car that has been driving around New York's salted roads in the winter ..."
