"Does anyone else ever pay you by check?"
Ms. G was asking me this as she stood by the chair in "the office" with one of those extension grabbers. This room has a desk she never uses and is packed with stuff she "needs to get to" but doesn't have time to deal with.
She was using the grabber to reach over stuff to where the package of checks ended up, as she needed to write me one for the work i'd done and she couldn't reach it any other way.
Yes, i told her, several of my clients do actually write me a check each week or every other week; what i did not add was that none of the others tell me i'm not allowed to use the remote deposit option, she insists her have to be taken to the bank to be deposited or cashed.
What she or any of the other check writers are going to do if banks ever do away with paper checks is a question i'm not going to ponder right now, although i figure it's inevitable, like the end of pennies.
Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Check.

While Good Fences Around the World seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, i still enjoy looking for and posting interesting fences, so i will! It's a Mardi Gras fence.
