Silly Sunday: Weddings Are Funny

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

This past Friday night, #1 Son was one of the groomsmen in a wedding.  He said the groom bawled like a baby when reciting his vows.  He then told the bride, "You better cry, too!" and she responded, "No, I'm not gonna cry!  Do you know how much this make-up cost?"

Boudreaux an' Clothile done been marry fo' many year, an' dey be at a weddin' of a frien'.  De priest be sayin' to the couple bein' marry, "You need to work to learn each other, the deep things and the not so deep things.  For example, young man, you need to remember what her favorite flower is."

At dat, Boudreaux turn to Clothile an' whisper, "Mais, I believe I know dat -- it be White Lily se'f-raisin', right?"

  4. Hah. What a reason not to cry. My brother cried the entire way through his wedding while his bride didn't shed a tear.

  5. Mimi,

I remember walking down the isle on my daddy's arm. All the women in the church ere crying. I felt the tears welding up and I said to myself, "Cathy, don't you cry or your mascara will be all of your face." So...I some how chocked back the tears. I was terribly nervous and barely able to repeat my vows. lol I love the "White Lily Self Rising flour" punch line! :D I remember watching Rocky and Bullwinkle as a kid. The flying squirrel fascinated me, too. Thanks for making me smile with these sillies!
