It Fit! (Wordlesss Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts that encourages us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, Delores is providing the prompts.

This week's theme is Time.

How much time does it take to clean someone's house?

It depends on the someone, and the size of the house.

Ms. G is a realtor.  Most Wednesdays, i clean at her house -- vacuum the floors, clean the glass doors, sweep up the bird seed outside, a few other things depending on what she needs.

This week, she has an empty house she needs cleaned so she can put new renters in it for her client.

It's a house i've cleaned before.  The first time, it took Sweetie and me two days.

This time, i spent about 10 hours on Wednesday, and will have to go back Saturday afternoon once i am finished with my morning client.

We spent the first hour hauling out trash.  She spent a few more hours getting trash out of the garage.  This was after she had hauled away a lot of trash a few days before.

How much time does it take to clean someone's house?

If it was rented to people who didn't care how they kept it, you don't want to know.

  1. Such a pretty tree and how handy to just store it in the closet like that. Every time you need a little pick me up, you can open the closet door and have a look at it :)

I've got the stoneware pottery... now I just need a slice of white chocolate cheesecake to put upon it! (#anyexcuse)

  10. I like what you did with "TIME". With some people's houses, you could clean them just by walking through with a feather duster, others you'd need to rent a front end loader to shovel the mess out.

  11. Time spent cleaning. I admire you doing it. I think every hour I spend cleaning is at least 120 minutes long.
