Thinking and Other Thoughts, A Random and Happy Tuesday Post

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Sunday night, the phone rang about an hour after i'd gotten to sleep.  Bolting upright wondering what emergency could be happening this time, my bleary eyes saw Dr. D's name and number.

She was calling to say she hadn't gotten back from visiting relatives yet, so i didn't need to come in to work.  "You can have a day off!" she said with excitement.  Since i already have another job after i'm done at her house, and i'd already lined up something in case she wasn't back, all she managed to do was interrupt my sleep, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Sandee noted the other day that it was news to her that i have long hair.  A demonstration:

Yes, i keep it braided.

Finally, some more of the funnies Grandma sent:

Hope everyone who celebrated it had a great Labor Day (and that you didn't celebrate too much).  Enjoy your Tuesday!

  2. Can you see the green glow of envy all the way over there? I've wanted long hair all my life, but it never gets more than about four inches past my collar.
I'm liking my sixties so far, hasn't been much different from my 50s apart from now being retired. Sadly, NOT a retired lottery winner. Yet.

  3. There is not enough money in the world to get me to do my boss's job - even for only a half day! (Well, maybe in the world, but certainly not enough money in the budget where I work...)
Loved each and every one of those memes!

  4. Those are some great quotes! You sure do have long hair if that is you! Nice long braid. We think the problem these days is so many people act and then think but one should think and then act.

  7. I wondered if you got Monday off and I see you didn't. At least you know Dr. D well enough to know how to work around little notice and the runaround. You get both with that client.

You do have long hair. Very long hair. Thanks for the demonstration.

Love the funnies and the dog one is the very best one. I laughed out loud.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  9. Keeping hair braided works so well for long hair. Now if I could just manage to not make it look like I did battle. It just manages to go fluffy... Sigh.

But, yes, sleepus interuptus is not so great. But, she meant well. I guess... :)

I think the septic tank one, and the retired lottery winner are my favorites today.

  13. I used to have long, long hair. I, too, wore it in a long plait down my back. Now, it is mid-nape of my neck length...if that is such a description!
