Determination (Six Sentence Story), Pretty Wood (Good Fences), Time Capsule Attic (Sammy’s Poetry Day), and Brian’s Thankful Thursday

“What do you think?”

“I think you have to be joking.”

“No, I’m not joking — I mean, I know it needs some work, but...”

“Work, nothing, it needs to be torn down.  The only thing holding it together is the coat of paint!”

“Huh, I’ll manage to bring it up to spec and make it useful again, just you watch!”

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Coat.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

A house at the corner has a very nice wooden fence:

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day This week's image and my poem:

Granny's attic is a special place,
You never know what you'll find.
There's all kinds of really old, cool stuff,
Lots of things that blow my mind!

We love going up there when we visit,
It's so much fun to explore.
A family time capsule is what it is,
Each generation adds more.

The biggest problem we have is what
Will we do when Gran's no longer there.
We'll have to move this stuff to our homes
And we just don't know where!

  1. I like old things especially those with sentimental values but I have to give away most of the things because of lack of storage place in our house.

  24. Granny’s attic takes me down memory lane. I know I miss her with so much pain. All the old stuff that she had, those memories can make me mad. The closeness and tender affection, I can now feel in this attic of the older generation. Fun to be here, fun to be exploring, that place that brings back fond memories.

  25. The wooden fence looks neat. It gives a great look to the house. Thanks for the informative post on the various historical dates. My friend used to write six lines of poems at the Music institute in Coimbatore.
