Don’t Take It Too Seriously, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Carl was putting on two pairs of socks yesterday before work and when i asked him why he didn’t just put on a thick pair of his winter socks, he said, “They’re too itchy!”  That tells me i don’t need to bother getting his winter socks out of the winter clothes drawer and put them in general circulation, which is that much less for me to clean up.

A few days ago, at Bible study, Mr. Hal got to joking about his family.  (Mr. Hal cannot be taken seriously unless he is discussing the Bible, talking about doctrine, or actually praying.  Anything else, you just laugh, because he’s not meaning it.)

“Well my wife is still with me — no, wait, that’s the bad news!”

Ms. Jo said, “Yeah, we’re still praying about that.”

“Praying what, exactly?” he asked.

“That she’ll stay with you!”

“What, you want me to suffer, or her?”

“Oh, trust me, we all know she’s the one who is suffering!”

Yes, i enjoy going to Bible study, why do you ask?

Anyway, here are a few fun and funny things Grandma has passed along.

The NILE Virus (Type C)

I thought you would want to know about this virus.

Even the most advanced computer programs from Norton, McAfee, and others cannot take care of this one. It appears to target those who were born prior to 1970.  The lockdown seems to be increasing the chances of being affected!

Virus Symptoms

1. Causes you to send the same e-mail twice. (Done that)

2. Causes you to send a blank e-mail. (That too)

3. Causes you to send an e-mail to the wrong person. (Yup)

4. Causes you to send it back to the person who sent it to you. (Ah-ha)

5. Causes you to forget to attach the attachment. (Done that)

6. Causes you to hit SEND before you've finished. (Oh no, not again)

7. Causes you to hit DELETE instead of SEND. (Hate that)

8. Causes you to hit SEND when you should DELETE. (Heck, now what?)

This virus is called the C-NILE virus!

A lot of us have already been inflicted with this deadly disease and unfortunately as we age it gets worse.

And if you can't admit to doing any of the above, you've obviously caught the other strain - the D-NILE virus!

Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone.

  4. Great funnies again. We are not surprised about elephants smelling water from afar as Mom sees all the time with our sports what our canine noses are capable of. We see with our noses first, then our eye. Happy Tuesday to you!

  15. I thought octopi had eight arms, not eight legs and now of course I know that two of the eight are actually legs. Love the Speed Checked by Radar, he's my favourite character in MASH.

  16. Mimi,

Tell Carl if his heavy winter socks itch, he might want to try fleece socks like polartec which is quite warm without the bulk of wool or cotton and doesn't itch.

Mr. Hal sounds like a fun guy. He has to have a good wife with that sense of humor or else she would've killed him years ago.

    Thanks for the funnies. The old car iPhone charger cracked me up. lol Oh yeah and the Nile type C virus is a good one, too. :D Have a giggletastic week, my friend. And, have a very Merry Christmas!! {{Hugs}}
