All About the Gear (Six Sentence Story), Azalea Good Fence, Adventure (Sammy's Poetry Day) and April (Brian's Thankful Thursday)

***********************************

Happy A to Z!

***********************************

Sweetie came into the room looking as glum as i'd seem him in a while.

When i asked him what's up, he said, "It's getting harder and harder to find the parts for my gear."

Well, i noted, that's the joy and the pain of going with vintage gear.  Then i asked him if he was sure it's worth it.

"It's all about the tone, and you don't get tone from modern gear!" he was vehement.

When you are a guitar and amp guy on a quest for tone, it's all about the gear.

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Gear.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

One more fence with Azaleas, for A Day on the A to Z.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day This week's image and my poem:

Life's a Grand Adventure

To live out every day.

"I've already been there!"

Is what I want to say

About all of the places

You dream to someday be,

The one who really did it,

I want that to be me!

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

  1. Sweetie has a good point, it's all about tone, especially when it comes to earbuds or speakers. There's no joy in listening when the sound is tinny or squeaky.

  2. A for Azaleas, a pretty start to the challenge.

  5. Vintage gear is super cool but it is also a challenge to find good vintage anything. Hard to believe General Hospital started in 1963 and is still running. Mom was a fan for many years.

  13. Well, living with a vintage and guitar and amp guy myself, I read your story to him and got to hear about different tones for the next 15 minutes. Remind me to not read any more of your vintage stories out loud - MOL!

  17. Mimi,

The image inspiration for your wonderful poem makes me shiver with fear. High places make my head spin and I really don't care to be close to anything with a sharp drop off. Awesome start!
