Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
On a walk with Becca, we were blessed to see this happy, healthy family.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon. Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!
This week the theme is Golf.
Golf is not a game I play,
to torque my back wouldn't make my day.
However, I can plainly see
why it attracts people, but just not me.
It takes a great deal of finesse
getting a ball in the hole in that wide greenness.
The game is physical and is mental,
becoming a big winner is never accidental.
It takes lots of practice and plenty of skill,
and some would almost for a low score almost kill.
Some say it's name really should be "flog,"
and why else would the 19th Hole be famous for its "grog?"
To say golf's a good walk spoiled is mistaken,
let's agree it's called golf 'cause other four-letter words were taken!

Smiling at your poem - and loving that happy, healthy family.
ReplyDeleteThat second golf quote is excellent. Mom used to play golf all the time, but it takes a lot of time and she just lost interest.
ReplyDeleteYour geese on the water reminded me that while we were running errands on Friday, I saw a couple of geese in flight. They had just taken off rising above a building with their necks outstretched. I barely heard their honking sounds. It was perfect weather for them very wet but not so much for me. :) I hope you had a lovely Easter Sunday, my friend. Have an awwesome week!
ReplyDeleteAww! They would had made me smile too :-)

I'm sorry I'm so late. Workers showed up this morning to tear out our kitchen for the last part of the remodel and we had no idea they were coming. We worked our behinds off cleaning out all the drawers and cabinets. Phew.
