Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
About fifteen years ago, Grandma and Grandpa moved into their current home. Grandpa told her he wanted his bedroom, his office and the garage, the rest of the four-bedroom house with formal living room, dining room, den, breakfast area, etc. was hers to do with as she pleased.
(Yes, they kept separate bedrooms, neither can stand the other's snoring.)
A few years ago, Uncle P started building furniture to sell as his main form of income, taking over the garage. Grandpa was glad to give it to him. Now he's gone and Uncle J is there, with all his spare furniture in the garage.
Thirteen months ago, Grandma fell and suffered whiplash. She moved into Grandpa's bedroom so he could be near to help her, as for many months she was almost bedbound.
A few months ago, Grandma felt she was strong enough and started sleeping at night in her own room, although still spending her days in Grandpa's room and storing a lot of her things in there.
She's now strong enough to do most things for herself and is back in her own room full time. Grandpa is back to having two rooms, and is thrilled (he's not worried about the garage).
Boudreaux done tole Thibodeaux, "I t'ink Clothile done be mad wit' me."
An' Thibodeaux done ax, "What make you t'ink dat?"
An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, she done pull de twin beds separate in de bedroom!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
While i don't usually take too many food photos, my bits and bobs this week consist of pictures from Easter Sunday, food at the ladies' meeting, a decorative cup of coffee, items that caught my eye and skyscapes.
The reflection in the screen. |
