Just Jack (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday

 ***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Lulu and Abby are very forward and bold, while Jack is shy and retreating, so I thought I'd feature him by himself for once.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!

This week the theme is Mischief.

She wanted to make mischief,

after all, it's Mischief Night,

but something funny and silly

not to give anyone a fright.

It started when the alarm went off

and they told "Alexa" to stop,

but she had changed it's call name,

so in confusion out of bed they did hop!

When once they'd got that settled,

it was on to the breakfast table,

but cereal and milk in the bowl was frozen,

to eat it they were unable.

When each opened their lunchboxes

to eat while they were at school,

the bananas were pre-sliced in the skins,

they thought that was really cool.

Once home the mischief continued,

they thought their after school snack

was going to be chocolate chip cookies,

found mashed potatoes and beans so black.

The "cupcakes" on the supper table

were meatloaves with mashed tater frosting,

their toothpastes replaced with icing tubes,

what else would the evening bring?

Tape over the TV remote,

plastic wrap stopped up the shampoo,

it seemed there was a mischievous trick

with everything they tried to do.

The little heads had bobbed about

while this was going on all day,

they wanted to mischief mama back

and finally found a way.

After pulling her jokes from morn to night

she admitted she'd been defeated

when she tried to climb her weary self into bed

and found she'd been short-sheeted!

  2. LOL, such funny pranks and a great way to get her pranked back. Jack is a very handsome fellow. Not every dog wants to steal the show, so it is nice to give him a spot.

  4. Being mischievous is tiring work. I think I'll just stick to a no pranking policy on this end at least for me. :)
