Aging Has Its Perks (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma was muttering something yesterday and I asked if she was talking to me.

"No, just talking to myself.  I have to say it to myself over and over to remember what it was I was doing!"

Clothile done hear Boudreaux mutterin' an' she ax, "Was you talkin' to me?"

"Non," he done say.  "I be's talking to me.  I even done made me laugh."

"What did you say?" she ax.

An' Boudreaux say, "I don' remember!"

Den dey both laugh an' Boudreaux say, "Mais!  Growin' old ain't easy, but it sure be's entertainin'!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child, although she is on a blog break.

It's Mardi Gras time, and you can spot the decor here and there.

This week, Alfred wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.  He's on cage rest most of the time, and healing well from his broken leg, and there was no way I could refuse him.
