You can ask me to do almost any job at rEcess, our once-a-month fun nights for special needs kids so their parents can get out for an evening, and note i did say "almost."
Coordinate the meal for volunteers, pick it up, warm it or cook it, serve it, clean up after it -- sure.
Do one-on-one with a special needs child for the night, from the youngest to the oldest -- yep.
Change diapers, give meds, deal with feeding tubes and wheelchairs -- you got it.
Do the set-up before and clean-up after -- on it.
Crafts coordinator -- hold your horses, there, unless you want a glut of glitter, a glob of glue and a craft paper pile-up, trust me, it's the one job where you want to keep me far, far away as there isn't a crafting spot in me anywhere.
Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Craft.

While Good Fences Around the World seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, i still enjoy looking for and posting interesting fences, so i will!
This fence is almost hidden.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day! This week's image and my poem:
I wanted a small fishing hut
away from the big tourist glut.
I located this place
put a smile on my face,
and said, "Yes, it makes the cut!"

You are funny this morning about the glitter in the crafting while you are so willing to do all the other work, lol. And I see that Vince barely peeking out behind those shrubs, and when they turn green you'll never see the fence.
ReplyDeleteThe small fishing hut is so cute. Can you imagine going in there? It doesn't even look safe, but it does look fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun with the glue and glitter. Meanwhile, I'd love to go to the tiny island.
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Some casitas need fences, and some casitas don't."
ReplyDeleteLulu: "You mean like the little casita in the middle of the lake doesn't need one?"
Java Bean: "Sí. It has got a very large moat instead."
lol

ReplyDeleteA camouflaged fence is still a fence; unless it is a hedge, in which case it is a hedge and not a fence; or unless it is made of bricks, in which case it is a wall pretending to be a fence or a camouflages hedges.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Great fence photo ~ fun craft story and grateful for sun but not much seen yet in New England ~ another cloudy day here ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting Six! I want that hut...
ReplyDeleteLOVE your poem - and while it would be the perfect getaway for someone wanting to do some peaceful fishing......it sure wouldn't work for a family wanting a vacation! LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy
I'm confident there's no one thinks twice about not asking you to coordinate the crafting, lol
ReplyDeleteHow cool - a perfect fishing hut!
A huge thankful - 11 inches! May the sun continue.
